Are the story age recommendations important?

Are the story age recommendations important?

We craft our age recommendations conservatively and carefully, so they are important to note.

Our stories for the youngest listeners are simpler and contain only gentle content, whilst our stories for older children, 7 years and up, contain more elaborate plot lines and complex character development. Stories for 9 years and up can contain more dramatic conflicts and difficult themes, such as anger, betrayal, battle, and even, occasionally, death.

Some children are ready for more complex themes at younger ages, so always use parental discretion.
