Why audio stories? Why no animations?
Audio stories, or stories told out-loud, are untethered to images viewed on a screen. The child is free and able to paint their own pictures out of their own imagination. They become relaxed and entranced — committing themselves fully to a fantastic adventure.
As the child listens and creates their own images, they consequently build a new map of neural pathways, which can have a profound impact on the complexity, versatility, and adaptability of their growing brains. This whole-brain experience makes audio stories (or stories read out loud) utterly nourishing.
